2) Listen to others – Take the time to interact with others who are creative too, this may be as simple as getting involved with an online forum or joining your local art group, the important thing here is that you talk with others who are being creative.

4) Open your mind – Get on to great websites like ‘Stumbleupon’ and spend some time wandering through new art websites (or whatever interests you), ‘Pinterest’ is another great site for inspiration where you’ll see a wide range of creative talents from around the globe.

6) Meditate – You don’t have to be new age here, meditation is used by some of the most successful people in the world and is one of the quickest ways to find your ‘flow’ once again, this is as long as you commit to it. If you’re unsure on how to get started, a little research on line or typing in ‘meditation’ into YouTube will give you loads of examples.
7) Go for a walk – Get outside and into the fresh air (even if you’re based in a city), going for a short walk gets the blood flowing through your veins and gives you a break from staring at a screen or sheet of paper.
8) Take a break – As with number seven, having short breaks from your work will keep you from burning out, a break to read a magazine, chat to a friend or simply grab a coffee will work wonders for your creativity.

9) Learn – The internet is the biggest resource we have ever had at our fingertips, use it! You’ll be surprised at just how many courses and tutorials are out there and which are also FREE, knowledge is power, the more you know the more you’ll be able to achieve.
10) Take photos – If you have a cell phone then there’s a strong possibility that you have a camera on the back of it too, use it to take shots whilst you’re out and about, whatever inspires you take a photo of it for later.
11) Be your own fan – Whatever your inner dialogue is it will affect the outcome of your work, if you believe in yourself and your own abilities it will make a huge impact upon your work, so start to believe in yourself.
12) Those who can…..do it – It’s said that those who can perform something do it, those who can’t critique, remember that whenever someone critique’s your own work, and don’t take it personally. Art and any form of creativity is subjective, not everyone will get it, so don’t worry and don’t let it stop you, remember, if we all liked the same thing this world would be pretty boring.
