This husband-and-wife team are based in Tasmania (Australia) and have been formatting books for indie authors for many years (we have worked with them in the past and always had a good experience with them too).

Pricing for their service does depend upon the book itself, however, they quote prices for novels starting at $40 (for a book under 10,000 words) for one format, $50 for two and $60 for three formats, rising to books of up to 240,000 words being $130 for one format, $190 for two and $250 for three formats. For books with a higher word count, or with images, are poetry books, non-fiction, or compilations etc. they will give a specific quote per book.

They offer formats for most publishers for both eBook and print and prefer the file of your book to be in Word format (but will accept most others too).

Pricing starts from $50 (a further $2 per 10,000 words) although prices still may vary depending on the complexity of your book.

Kirkus Reviews

Most authors will know Kirkus from their review service, but you may not be away that they also format books too.

Using your manuscript (from a Word document) they can format it to work with the majority of publishing platforms such as KDP, IngramSpark and B&N etc. They offer two packages for formatting with a standard and custom version, they both offer a great deal to the author, however, the custom version is better if your book has images with bleeds, sidebars, pull quotes, and other custom requests.

Bookbaby

A big name within the self-publishing world, Bookbaby publish and promote books from indie authors and have been doing so for many years, so it should be no surprise that they also offer a formatting service too.

As with most formatting services, the price will depend upon the complexity and length of your book, however, they offer the service for both print and eBook (they even offer an eBook conversion service too).
